RNZ is New Zealand’s only non-commercial public multimedia organisation and exists solely to serve the public interest by providing unique, impartial services and content to all New Zealanders.

As the Team and Officer Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of RNZ’s day-to-day activities. This role offers a varied mix of responsibilities, from general administration support to HSW coordination. You’ll be working closely with our People Team, Leaders, kaimahi, and key stakeholders to provide high quality administration and customer service support.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the wider admin team on a broad range of tasks, including facilities coordination, including being a point of call for property and office information, project coordination, and distribution of office, emergency response and safety supplies.
  • Support the management of key shared mailboxes across RNZ to coordinate email traffic, processes and response.
  • Support with travel coordination for domestic and international trips.
  • Support Heath, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) processes, including managing our incident management reporting database and coordination of HSW workplans.
  • Coordinate occupational health services for kaimahi across RNZ.
  • Provide administration, logistical and coordination support for the Executive Team, CEO and Board when required.
  • Manage reception technology and guest/visitor coordination.
  • Provide administrative support across People Team processes and programmes when required.

Ōu Pūkenga - About You

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative or coordination role.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach.
  • Understanding and experience working with health, safety, and wellbeing frameworks is an advantage.
  • Confident and experienced using MS Office, in particular excel, word and power point, and share point experience an advantage.

This is a full-time role based in Wellington but we are open to flexibility.
