We’d love for you to join RNZ and take the lead on our recruitment function, helping us build the incredible teams that bring public media to life. This is your chance to work across a wide variety of roles, from journalists and producers to finance and tech specialists, leaders, and even our on-air presenters.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process at RNZ, supporting hiring managers and kaimahi every step of the way, providing practical and common-sense advice and guidance.
  • Champion initiatives that strengthen diversity and representation, making sure RNZ is an inclusive workplace which reflects our community.
  • Build talent pipelines and support our employer brand, so people know RNZ is a great place to grow their career.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that help shape our longterm workforce planning.
  • Craft job descriptions and size roles when needed.
  • Create compelling adverts and work with hiring managers to ensure every candidate has a positive experience.

This is a part-time role, which will be perfect if you enjoy fast-paced work where no two days are the same. You’ll love connecting people with opportunities and bring energy, credibility, and great judgment to everything you do.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have significant internal recruitment experience, including leading diversity initiatives related to recruitment and talent sourcing.
  • Are passionate about building talent pipelines and creating great candidate experiences.
  • Can partner confidently with hiring managers and kaimahi as a trusted advisor.
  • Enjoy working across a wide range of roles and can adapt to changing priorities.
  • Like a mix of recruitment and project work (and don’t mind picking up process improvements during quieter times).
  • Have experience with job evaluation frameworks (Korn Ferry job evaluation training would be an advantage!).
  • Feel comfortable and confident offering insights, spotting opportunities, and be willing to jump in and support our leaders wherever needed.

This role is part time, 24 hours a week. Ideally this would be spread over 5 days but we are open to flexibility with this. We’d love it for the successful person to be based in Auckland, or close enough that you would be able to come into the office regularly, as we believe this face to face time is really important in this role.
