Producer – Series and Podcasts
Podcasts are changing the way we tell stories. And RNZ is New Zealand’s dominant podcast producer.
Our growing team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative producer interested in covering New Zealand’s ethnic and migrant communities, with the prime responsibility of making RNZ’s weekly podcast Voices podcast. The successful applicant will want to find important, fascinating and breaking stories from across those many and varied communities and will be able to tell a range of stories in fresh and lively ways.
A quarter of New Zealanders have been born overseas, and many more have strong connections to their ethnic heritage, so the potential for great stories is huge. You will need to be able to connect with these New Zealanders, to have strong writing skills and story judgement, come with heaps of ideas and to have a great track record in journalism (preferably including long-form stories). You’ll be an enthusiastic team member and committed to excellence. This role is based in Auckland.
Please note: A complete application includes your covering letter and a CV.
Applications close: Sunday 22 July 2018
RNZ is committed to the principles and practices of Equal Employment Opportunity and welcomes applicants reflecting New Zealand’s cultural and ethnic diversity.
