Te Mahi – About the job

The full-time role involves chasing great stories and guests across a full range of genres, making sure the content is relevant to our target audience, working with our Nights Host and Executive Producer to make this happen. You will be responsible for putting the Nights show to air, making sure it’s a vibrant, live interactive listener experience on-air, online and on social media.

Ōu Pūkenga – About You

Working as part of a team in a high energy programming environment, you’ll need: 

  • Experience in live on-air radio production.
  • Knowledge of national and international news and current affairs.
  • The ability to gain an on-air pass at RNZ, with a broadcast quality voice, including strong Māori and Pacific pronunciation skills. 
  • The ability to work under pressure with the ability to turn great ideas into compelling radio and online content.
  • A commitment to working rostered shifts primarily in the evenings.
