Te Mahi – About the job

As part of the Morning Report production team, you’ll work across the morning and afternoon teams helping to set-up and produce interviews, finding engaging stories, studio production and writing intros and background notes. 

The role involves shift work and will include early starts and later finish times depending on roster needs.  

Ōu Pūkenga – About You

Working as part of a team in a high energy programming environment, you’ll need: 

  • Daily news and breaking news experience.
  • Knowledge of national and international news and current affairs.
  • Experience in live on-air radio production.
  • The ability to generate your own story ideas and identify interesting and engaging interviewees
  • The ability to gain an on-air pass at RNZ, with a broadcast quality voice, including strong Māori and Pacific pronunciation skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure with the ability to turn great ideas into compelling radio and online content.
  • commitment to working rostered shifts primarily in the afternoon and evenings
