Morning Report Presenter

RNZ wants a talented and tenacious journalist to co-host its flagship news programme, Morning Report.

To secure this coveted position, you must be a skilled journalist on top of your game and able to ask the questions RNZ’s discerning audience demands. It’s about setting the news agenda for the day.

You will have the highest journalistic standards, be calm and effective under pressure, confident in front of a microphone and on camera, and have a great knowledge of politics, economics and international affairs.

At the same time, you will be able to handle the many diverse and lighter stories which reflect New Zealand life – you will need a good sense of the ridiculous.

Finally, you must understand and embrace the digital world – across social and online, realising its importance in attracting new and different audiences to RNZ.

Morning Report is New Zealand’s highest rating radio programme but we have plans to grow it further on-air, online and visually.

To take advantage of this rare opportunity, please forward your application now. It will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The role could be based in Auckland or Wellington.

Please note: A complete application includes your covering letter and a CV.
