First Up with Nathan
Rarere is looking for an experienced Producer who can join our morning team in Auckland and play a central role in RNZ’s morning news offering.
You’ll be in the control room overseeing First Up as it goes to
air, then as required, you’ll support the Morning Report team as RNZ’s flagship
morning news show goes to air. You’ll contribute to First Up’s vibrant
story-telling, contributing ideas, helping to book guests and finding stories
that aren’t being told elsewhere.
Working with some of the
industry’s top talent and covering the highest profile stories in NZ and
overseas, you will be committed to the highest standards of journalism and have
a thorough understanding of national and international news.
Ōu Pūkenga – About You
Working as part of a team in a high energy programming environment, you’ll need:
- Daily news and breaking news experience.
- Knowledge of national and international news and current affairs.
- Experience in live on-air radio production.
- The ability to gain an on-air pass at RNZ, with a broadcast quality voice, including strong Māori and Pacific pronunciation skills.
- The ability to work under pressure with the ability to turn great ideas into compelling radio and online content.
- A commitment to working rostered shifts primarily in the mornings.
