Digital Producer – RNZ Concert

This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in all the areas of production and audience delivery RNZ Concert provides, while you help raise the profile of New Zealand’s only classical music radio station across radio, digital and social platforms.

Te Mahi – About the job

RNZ Concert is looking for an energetic, organised and creative producer to create and deliver engaging and entertaining content to our audiences.

You will:

  • Work with the Concert team and our performance partners to deliver content to grow RNZ Concert’s digital audiences. 
  • Participate in editorial planning to generate, refine and place the best stories and activities in the right places to engage interested audiences across RNZ and external platforms. 
  • Oversee RNZ Concert’s Facebook account and contribute to other RNZ social media channels (Insta, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Create written, photographic and video social media content that engages our audiences.
  • Manage video and audio delivery to digital platforms.
  • Contribute to RNZ website, newsletters and other places where we can share the love of classical music and Concert kaimahi with the public.
  • Understand and enjoy celebrating classical music and its community in Aotearoa.
  • Manage the RNZ Concert Facebook account. Contribute to the RNZ Music social media accounts (inc. YouTube), pitch to the RNZ social media accounts.
  • Film, edit and publish social media video content (press conference / red carpet experience a bonus)
  • Feature RNZ Concert kaimahi, interviewees, events, and partners to grow digital audience engagement.
  • Manage the planning, curation and publication of RNZ Concert music audio content to streaming platforms.
  • Collaborate with RNZ Concert partner organisations to share and increase the reach of shared projects and events.
  • Support live events by creating behind the scenes / front of house photography and video, written content
  • Create and publish content for the RNZ Concert website.
  • Compile newsletter content
  • Be aware of relevant copyrights, permissions and usage rights. Must like spreadsheets and metadata.

RNZ Concert is a small team and there will be opportunities to contribute across the range of work we do. This might include radio production, music scheduling, and live music events.

A team player, you will be enthusiastic about contributing to the overall success of RNZ Concert as we move into the next exciting chapter of this much-loved radio station.

You will have:

  • Audio or social media production experience
  • A love of classical music.
  • Good energy and ideas

This is a full-time fixed term role for 12 months based in Wellington, working 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday (with flexibility around events).
