Te Tūranga The opportunity 

Join RNZ’s collaborative and action orientated People team.You'll support our managers to lead withmanaakitangaas they make decisions that move us towards our organisational goals. We're looking for a savvy ER specialist, who can get stuck in to change management and collective bargaining.

 

Te Mahi – About the job

In this role, you’ll work in a supportive People Team, partnering with leaders across RNZ to provide practical, people-focused advice. You’ll help leaders feel prepared and supported through complex conversations and processes, while ensuring manaakitanga is front and centre.

You’ll play a key part in upcoming collective bargaining and change activity that is on the horizon. Day to day you will support leaders at all levels to know their people, link their teams' mahi to our purpose and strategy to grow our constructive & inclusive culture and enable high performance and innovation.This is a role where sound judgement, tailored communicationand ability to bring people together will make a real difference.


Ōu Pūkenga - About You

We’d love to hear from someone who brings:

  • Strong employment relations experience, including confidence supporting or leading union bargaining processes
  • A calm, trusted approach when coaching and supporting leaders through change and complex people matters
  • A genuine care for people, with the ability to balance organisational and individual needs
  • Great relationship-building skills and the confidence to work constructively with leaders, unions and colleagues
  • Clear, thoughtful communication and the ability to provide practical advice in a way that builds trust
  • A collaborativestyle and a desire to contribute to a team that cares about doing good work and having fun while they’re at it

This is a fixed term role for 18 months based in Auckland, but we are open to flexibility of location, a working from home balance and hours.
