Assistant Property Project Manager

RNZ is on the move, literally. We're relocating our Auckland office, and we’re looking for a proactive Assistant Property Project Manager to support our National Property Manager in delivering a smooth, well-managed transition to our new site along with other key developments across the motu.

This fixed-term role is ideal for someone with experience in property/facilities management, and a solid understanding of how to deliver workplace change. You’ll be a key part of a high-impact property team delivering a key strategy supporting the future of RNZ. 

Te Mahi – About the job

In this role, you will:

  • Support the National Property Manager with the end-to-end delivery of RNZ’s Auckland office relocation
  • Help manage lease obligations and liaise with landlords and contractors
  • Represent RNZ during the fit-out and relocation phases
  • Coordinate logistics, timelines and communications
  • Support change and engagement with kaimahi and people leaders
  • Assist with building compliance, health and safety, and facilities management
  • Contribute to wider property and operational planning

Ōu Pūkenga - About You

We're looking for a natural organiser with great judgement and initiative. You’ve likely worked client-side on property or workplace projects before, and you understand what it takes to decant a site, manage multiple moving parts, and keep things on track.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in property/facilities management
  • Knowledge of project coordination or support in office relocation projects
  • Strong communication skills and positive stakeholder engagement
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to anticipate what needs doing
